Farmhouse Sinks Are The Big Splash
Farmhouse Sinks and granite countertops Go together
Farmhouse sinks (or apron sinks) and granite countertops were among the most impressive features of the homes showcased at the Atlanta Street of Dreams. Every home had special features that were beautiful as well as functional, but the rooms that caught my eye in every home were the kitchens. Today, the hum drum uba tuba granite was out and the vivacious granite countertop colors like Juparana Dream and Gold Ray were in. Bright colors that made the kitchens come alive and sparkle. These beautiful kitchens have become the gathering place for friends during informal parties and get-togethers. Not surprising is the how quickly the conversation turns to the beautiful granite countertops and other feature of the modern kitchen. Not to be outdone by the beautiful granite countertops, the sinks have taken center stage as part of the décor instead of just being the catchall for dirty dishes.
The farmhouse sink is now available to complement most granite colors. Made of stone, copper porcelain, or composite materials, the sinks become part of the cabinetry and countertop instead of just an ugly stainless pit in the countertop. As I entered each of the Atlanta Street of Dreams homes, I found myself heading directly for the kitchens. I was never disappointed, finding farmhouse or white porcelain apron sinks in almost every home. Decorative faucets grace the sinks to add even more appeal to the entire look of the kitchen.
Bathroom and washroom have come alive with porcelain vessel sinks made from granite, marble, glass and man made materials that do not just accent the room, but become the center of attention. Beautiful and functional..what more could you ask for?
